CTRL Z deletes everything in block

I have seen this asked in forums so many times without any solutions available. When you use ctrl z it doesn’t undo the thing you just did- it undos everything. I tried to save more frequently, but I can’t even find the drafts I save with the information in the block. I have tried to break the habit but ctrl z is so engrained in my muscle memory. I always do it at least once and loose everything, then have to redo hours and hours of work. Yes, I type the document first in word. But the formatting- links in other pages, embedded videos, photos, headings etc- is still lost.

  • Hi there,

Have you looked in your page/post revision history? Each time you save a draft manually or select Update, a revision is saved.

Revisions allow you to look back at the recent changes you’ve made and revert to an earlier version if necessary. More info here: https://wordpress.com/support/editors/page-post-revisions/

If you are having an issue with locating revisions for a specific page or post, please let us know which site URL, and the title of the page or blog post you are working on, and we can take a closer look.

    Hope this helps!
