Custom blog post addresses

Pardon my non-technical jargon. :) With the old editor, there was an option under the title that I could assign a custom address to each individual blog: for example, for each wedding I do, I would assign the address http://www.andaphotoblog.com/groomlovesbride (with their names plugged in there). That way, I could tell them ahead of time what their individual blog address would be and the date it would be up, and everyone felt very special. Now in the new editor, I can’t find a spot to do that. Has that option been taken away, and is there any way for me to get it back… fast? I have several weddings already promised with their blog link. :P

Hi there,
That custom address is called the “slug” and you can still edit it in the new editor. In the “Advanced Settings” section, you can enter the custom address in the “Slug” box at the top of the section. Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

Another question for you: I just created a new blog this week, and the photos uploaded quite differently than they have in the past. You can see the difference in the newest post vs any of the other ones (www.andaphotoblog.com). I checked and the size of the images are the same, and I didn’t change anything about the way I formatted or uploaded the images. Did wordpress change an auto setting or something? I liked it better when the images filled up the entire blog page as they did before… what can I tweak to make it do that again?

OK, after poking around a bit, it looks like the images uploaded and were posted at a medium size, instead of full size as they have in the past. What do I do to have it default to uploading them at full size?

Did you upload the photos from a desktop/laptop computer, or did you upload them from a mobile device using one of the WordPress mobile apps?
If you uploaded them from a regular browser on your computer, the photos will be uploaded at full size. Then, you can choose how large you want them to be when you add them to the post or page, in the Attachment Display Settings:

If you’re uploading the photos with one of the mobile apps, please let me know which one you’re using and I can tell you more about the image options in that particular app. :)
