Custom domain use

    I’m confused as to why custom domain name purchase is offered for the Personal tier subscription, but if I already own a domain, I have to buy the premium subscription. I just bought a domain name and want to use it for a Personal page, but it seems as though I’ll have to cancel that domain purchase, and then buy it through wordpress in order to use it. Am I misunderstanding this process? Is there a way to not get the Premium service, but still use my pre-owned domain name?

    Hi there,

    If you go to the domain step first, Premium is added by default. Bust you can use Personal as well.

    First go to My Site ->Plans and add the Personal Plan. Then you can claim the free domain mapping from My Site ->Domains afterwards.

    Use a Domain You Already Own (Domain Mapping)
