Custom Homepage Canard Theme
-
I need help creating a custom homepage. Is the Canard Live Demo a custom homepage? Right now my homepage shows an unending list of latest posts. I want more control and variety with how this looks – like the Canard demo. However, I do like the gallery-grid of featured posts at the top of the page. How do I replicate this on my custom static homepage? I’ve gone through the list of blocks and can’t find any options for a gallery of blog posts.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi. I see that your homepage presently displays your latest posts, and includes a featured content area, so it appears that you’ve figured out on your own how to do that. In case others encounter the same issues on Canard, I’ll respond to your questions.

The Canard demo displays the latest posts on the homepage, but it includes a featured content area displaying five posts in a grid. How to set up a front page with such a featured content area is described in the “Featured Content and Featured Images” section of the Canard overview.
How do I replicate this on my custom static homepage?
It can’t be replicated on a static homepage. However, if you choose to use a static homepage, then you may do so by following the instructions in the link provided by staff-blorbo. Then the latest posts could be displayed on another page. The Canard featured content area may be displayed on the posts page regardless of whether the posts page is set to display on the homepage or another page.
