Custom HTML or other possibilities for embedding content
-
Why can I preview my custom HTML additions within the block, but they won’t show in preview or page?
Specifically, I am having trouble embedding Sway, Bulb, Edpuzzle, Venggage. Also, after entering the code into the Custom HTML and clicking ‘Update’ the code disappears, even if I have just previewed within the block.
I have tried using the embed and Custom HTML and several other options to include these examples for a final course project.
I have already studied the Google Docs Support page (success!), the Custom HTML Support page, and the ‘Code’ Support page.
Thank you for any other help you can provide.
Be well,

Hi there!
Due to security reasons, not all code is allowed on WordPress.com sites below the Business plan. Please take a look at this page to check the types of code that are allowed on free WordPress.com sites: https://wordpress.com/support/code/

Aisajib and others,
For a project that began Open Source, I think it’s terrible that WordPress restricts most education software and most open source projects from embedding and sharing.
This website is a project for a graduate school course.
Most students can’t afford $300–$540 dollars a year for sharing educational tools!!!
Really, that seems counter to the philosophy of shared code.
Thanks anyway. -
You are confusing the wordpress.com platform and the open source wordpress.org, https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/.
Perhaps wordpress.org is a cheaper alternative for your course, https://wordpress.org/
