custom vs. premium

Hi there,
I am working on a site and have a couple quick questions:
1) I want to adjust fonts and colors. Looks like I need to buy the “custom design” package for $30. Sound about right?
2) I notice there is an option to remove the “wordpress.com” from the domain name. Is that included in custom design, or only with premium?
3) If I really want the custom domain name, do I need to pay the full $99 for premium? And would that still allow me to adjust fonts & colors as per custom design package?Thanks!

That is NOT correct. It’s Terms of Service violation.

May I remove the Admin Bar, credit links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com’, theme, font, or toolbar links?
All WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the Admin Bar (the dark bar that appears at the top of WordPress.com sites when logged in) as well as credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide or alter text or links for the footer credits or the toolbar. Note that the free plan and the Premium plan do does not allow you to upload your own themes or plugins. Actually the answer to 2 is incorrect. To remove “wordpress.com” from your domain name, all you need is a custom domain and domain mapping at a cost of $18 a year. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
