Customisation

I keep getting pages that say they are a blog, when I am trying to set up a website. Each page has a reply box at the bottom. The pages look nothing like what is shown in the demo and I am floundering!
Also my friend has set up a radio station and I am trying to help them customise it. I can’t get on to the site after cutting and pasting the user name and password. He is in Dublin and I am in England. This shouldn’t make a difference should it?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Let’s keep things simple: We cannot help with the second paragraph, because we don’t know what website you’re referring to.

Oh, I’ve just been told they all come up as blogs. I’m used to using Kompozer and starting from scratch. I don’t really want a template. But when I pick one its coming up blank
The second part – I just presumed that if I used the admin username and password, it would matter whether I was in the UK or Ireland
