Customized page and ‘live’ page are different.
-
Hello, I’ve come across an issue that’s probably easily solvable but I have yet to come across the solution for the past few weeks of searching for the answer. My ‘customized’ site on my dashboard is what I want my site to look like. It’s saved and ready to go, but when I go up to the top of the screen and click on ‘view site’ it shows me just the name of my website and the generic theme layout that was installed when first opened. Am I missing a way to connect the two so that when people view my site, they view the actual homepage that I have customized? I don’t want to keep seeing the generic theme page pop up. Thanks for taking the time to read this and help me with feedback on my issue! I appreciate you guys!

Hi –
Once the changes are saved in Customizer they should definitely come through on the live site as well. Something isn’t quite right.
Can you take a screen shot of your customizer view? Add it to the site’s media library and from there I can compare that to what I see.
Make sure that the changes and updates are getting saved.
Last thing, clear the browser cache and give it another try: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
