Customizing footer

  I have read that to comply with the terms of service that I cannot hide the “blog by WordPress.com” on my footer however can I legally remove the simfo theme credit and the smiley face from the footer? And if so how do I do this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Both footer credits (the WordPress.com and theme credits) must be displayed on your blog. However, you can remove the smiley face if you don’t want it there. You can find out more about what that smiley face does here: Smiley on Your Blog
