daily email notification issue

Hello,
We use this blog as a private and internal means to update the company of industry news. Our goal is to post articles here and for followers to receive email updates on when a new post has been published. When following the blog, selecting setting and turning email me new posts on to ‘Daily,’ emails are NOT sent for some reason. When we change email me new posts to ‘Instantly,’ emails are sent. We would prefer to receive daily email updates, though, to not clog up everyone’s inbox. Do you know why these daily update emails are not sending and how to fix it?

What is the email address of the follower who is not receiving the emails?
Note that this setting is in the control of individual subscribers on your site – each person chooses for themselves whether they receive emails weekly, daily, instantly, as well as what time of the day they prefer to receive them.
You as site owner have no control over the frequency of email updates your subscribers receive, nor even whether or not they receive them at all.

I am using my other email address as a test to make sure everything is sending properly. That account follows the blog, selected ’email me new posts’ and turned that setting to ‘daily.’
For some reason, daily email notifications are not sent. They are only sent when ‘instantly’ is selected, which we do not prefer.
While I understand site owners have no control over the frequency of email updates that subscribers receive, I want to make sure that I am able to direct them in the right direction when it comes to receiving daily notifications via email.

What is the test email address you are using? You can post it here in the forums, only I will be able to see it.
Do you happen to have a gmail address? If you do, WordPress.com emails are known to end up in your social tab if you have that enabled. I would also check your spam folder to see if the email ended up there. Either way, if you search for your domain in the general inbox search field, you should be to find the email we sent to you regardless of the folder or tab that it is in.

The email address following the blog for daily notification updates via email is (email visible only to moderators and staff).
It is gmail but the social tab is not enabled and there is nothing wordpress related in the spam folder. When searching for ‘WordPress’ or ‘Ozmo Industry News’ in the inbox search field, only the emails sent when I was testing ‘immediately’ are found. Because of this, I am assuming that when selecting ‘daily’ as my choice of notification, they are not sending. Any idea on why this might be? I don’t think this would be an issue on my end as they are sending when ‘immediately’ is selected.

Our delivery logs show that 2 days ago we delivered 3 emails successfully to that address. The titles of the posts were:
1. Huawei license demand surprises US
2. Vodafone announces CEO for its new European Towers company
3. Wearables Spending Will Jump 27% in 2020, and That’s Great News for Apple
