Dark / Light theme possibility

    Hello everyone,

    I haven’t been able to google this one.

    I host several hobby websites all created using WP. I got a suggestion recently because one theme I am using is too bright, to create a night mode.

    I would like to give my visitors just that, the abillity to choose between a light / dark layout.

    I could CSS my way around it but I don”t PHP.

    Since google got me no plugins and I am very happy with the theme (although I might be open to theme suggestions), what can I do?

    Hi there,

    There is no way to do this on WordPress.com. A change like this wouldn’t be possible with CSS alone, but would require PHP functions to switch between two completely separate style sheets for the theme.

    I’m not surprised that you can’t find any plugins to do this – this type of functionality would need to be built into the theme itself.

    If you can find such a theme you should be able to use it on WordPress.com with our Business Plan, but we don’t offer any themes that work like that.
