I am involved in two WP sites. Monmouthfishing.co.uk for which I am an editor and Wagshistory.wordpress.com which I am admin and trying to build it.
how do I arrive at the dashboard for this site? When I get to it by circuitus means it only displays pages on the Monmouth fishing site and not mine.
I went through all the pages and categorised them to WAGS orn MADAS, abbreviations for the two organisations but it makes no difference. I tried putting replacing my name in the admin site for the first “(email visible only to moderators and staff)” instead of drgrgharoun.wordpress.com to try to log straight into the dashboard page but it doesnt work. It still shows data for Monmouth fishing.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You are currently logged in as peterghunt, which has accounts on both wagshistory.wordpress.com and monmouthfishing.co.uk. Are you able to switch between the two sites in My Sites at the top left?
When you try accessing the site there, please also check you are logged in as peterghunt — this username should be displayed under the photo on the left of your My Profile page.

Thank you for your excellent response time. I’m impressed.
At the very initial stages of establishing the website WP found my username peterghunt and seemed to suggest that I stick with it for my new site. Do you think that is where the problem lies?
This morning the dashboard showed a mixture of pages and posts from both sites. Useable but not ideal.
Should I set up a new account with a new user name. -

There isn’t an issue with the username itself but peterghunt is a user of both sites, which is why the appear under one account. Do you want to be able to manage each site from a completely separate account?

Yes if it means that I can have separate dashboards that don’t contain content from oneanother.
I also need be able to easily get to my dashboard on my ‘WAGS’ site as I can on ‘Monmouthfishing’ at present by using a /wp-admin suffix on the url, or whatever it takes.
It the Dara theme I’m using making any difference? -

You can, yes. Each of the two sites is owned by a different account:
- wagshistory.wordpress.com is owned by peterghunt.
- monmouthfishing.co.uk is owned by drgharoun. The peterghunt account you are logged in to now is a user of the site.
Are you also the owner of the drgharoun account?

No I am not. DG Haroun is administrator but I am an editor and he has given me access as a editor. I have used my user name for both sites.

If you create a new account, it could be added to the site by working through these steps:
- Ask drgharoun to add your new account to monmouthfishing.co.uk
- Then ask drgharoun to remove your peterghunt account from the site
Once those steps have been completed, monmouthfishing.co.uk will no longer be listed in My Sites in your peterghunt account. You would need to login to your new account to manage that site.

I’m not getting this how this works.
I’ve changed my username to peterghunt2 and this is also changed on the monmouthfishing site but nothing else has changed.
Drgharouns advises me to delete the wagshistory site.
Is my new wagshistory site set up on drgharouns account?
If so what is my best course of action. I don’t want to use all my work so far. -

You have renamed your existing account, which means all of your sites are still managed through the same account.
In order for monmouthfishing.co.uk to be completely separate from your other sites, you will need to create a new account.

You wanted to manage monmouthfishing.co.uk from a completely separate account. Therefore, the first step is to create a new account for drgharoun to invite to the site.
Once your new account has been added to the site, drgharoun can remove your peterghunt2 account — this means monmouthfishing.co.uk will no longer be listed in that account. If they need any help, they can reply in this thread.
Drgharouns advises me to delete the wagshistory site.
Deleting a site is permanent and it won’t be possible to reuse the WordPress.com address, wagshistory.wordpress.com. Therefore, only delete that site if you won’t need it again in the future.

I am new to this and running on Dara theme incorporating Jetpack and don’t want to upgrade further if I can do what I want using free ad ons.
I need to use a carousel and a slide show.
What ad ons would suit me?
I find all the published info in advertisements for themes and ad ons full of bull and short on actual clear cut information. -

Custom plugins are only available through the Business plan but it is possible to create a slideshow using the Free plan:
