  do I need to upgrade,free to paid, in order to get into dashboard?

  Hi there,

  What site do you need help with? The account you’re using to post here doesn’t own any sites on WordPress.com.

  No upgrade is required to to access either the WordPress.com admin area (at My Sites), or WP-Admin (site_URL/wp-admin) on WordPress.com sites, but you must be logged in as a username account that has that access on the site in question.
