Hi there, AFAIK there are data centers worldwide, so if one goes down, your site will remain unaffected. However I cannot say if there is one specifically in India. Can you explain why you’re interested in this?

A data centre in your host country say India will always help in load times for customers in India. Since we working something on Indian customers, would like to like to know if wordpress.com is hosted in Indian data centre. If wordpress.com is served from data centre say from US, add atlest 300mSeconds delay.. I am seriously looking at business plan.

Well, that may be the case, still there must be some information out there to customers. For e.g, say, if Singapore data centre is used for serving Indian customers, that would make me happy..
Data centres may change I agree. My concern is, are these outsourced data centres? For e.g, we thought, (for privacy reasons, I cannot mention the name of the hosting provider, but starts with letter B), Agency B was a very good webhosting company and later on we figured out that, Agency B has outsourced all hosting operations back end, infrastructure to a company, which we know is not good.
The other concern we have is regarding bench marking of business plan. Storage, OK, Bandwidth OK, what is the CPU power I am getting for wordpress.com hosting business plan if I buy from India. Is it one core, 1X or 2X processing power and what about physical memory 1GB or 2GB or 3GB..
Just for comparison purpose with customers. AWS lightsail clearly states 750MB memory, 1X CPU, 1Terabytes data. Can you please point out such numbers for wordpress.com business plan? Gives me a feel of what I am buying in terms of hardware power.
