Actually I wanted to give themes a try but when I’m trying to edit my home page, I don’t see anything that is being provided by the theme on the editing interface. So I would like to deactivate that theme and I’m not even able to do that. Please help!

  • Hi there,

You are currently using the Exford theme for that site. If you want to deactivate that theme and try a different one for the site, you can visit Design > Themes to check out other templates that may work better for you.

    Hope that helps!

No no, I just want to deactivate the theme and customize my website from scratch. I just need a solution for deactivating any theme that is present on my website. Kindly help soon.

  • It’s not possible to completely deactivate a theme – a WordPress site cannot function without a theme being active on a site. This is how the core software itself is designed to work. A theme is always required.

You can create your own WordPress theme from scratch, but installing such a theme on a WordPress.com site will require our Business Plan.
