Default image keeps showing up, can’t find in editor to delete
-
Hello, I just created my first site, and I guess I didn’t delete an image of a cake that was on the template. It shows up on my published site, and I can’t find it in the homepage editor to remove it. It does show up when I’m editing menus, but I don’t have the option to remove it there. Help!

Hi @therefoiam, just wondering if you were able to look at my page. If I can’t figure out how to get rid of the french toast image, maybe I can create a new homepage and delete this one?

Hi @louiediasbooks the Illustratr is designed to show any entries you have in your portfolio on the front page (homepage) of your site. You can see that more clearly in the demo site here, where all the thumbnails below the homepage text are pulled in from the portfolio: https://wordpress.com/theme/illustratr
In this case the image of the French Toast is coming from your portfolio entry here, and is the only portfolio item shown on your hompage since it is the only one listed here: https://wordpress.com/types/jetpack-portfolio/louiediasbooks.wordpress.com
The easiest way to remove the french toast image is to delete that portfolio entry.
As well, if you wish you can add more entries in your portfolio, and they will each be added as a thumbnail image to your homepage automatically.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
