Hello there,
To set the homepage as your blog page, you can follow the steps here:
Set the Homepage from Settings
1. Go to Settings → Reading in the left sidebar of your site dashboard.
2. Next to the label Your homepage displays, select the radio button A static page.
3. From the drop-down menu next to Homepage, choose your new page as the front page for your site.
4. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page. You can learn more here: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/#step-2-set-the-homepage

There is no “Your homepage displays” label under Settings – Reading, as I stated in the initial post. That is the problem.
