  Just Delete it !!

  Hi there,

  It isn’t possible to delete WordPress.com accounts. Since we don’t want other people to have your username in the future, we don’t delete usernames (they are kept so they cannot be recycled).

  Here are a few suggestions for you if you’d like to scrub the account:

  1) Delete your WordPress.com sites and disconnect any self-hosted WordPress sites linked to your account. (You can disconnect self-hosted sites by logging in to the self-hosted site’s dashboard, going to the Jetpack section, and disconnecting Jetpack from WordPress.com.

  2) If you are trying to unsubscribe from emails sent to you from WordPress.com, go to your notifications settings and click on “Block Emails.”

  3) You can also go to your account settings to remove all data except the account name and an email address. Create a throwaway email address and change the account email to that throwaway address. This will only leave the username behind.

  4) To ensure the account is locked up tightly, create a strong password and change the account password to it.

  5) You can also make your Gravatar profile private so no one else can view it. From the Edit My Profile page, click the “View Profile” link to see your profile, and then click the “Hide My Profile” link in the sidebar there.
