Delete entire site without being owner

    The ‘owner’ account of the site is no longer with the company. We are going through a massive re-brand and need to delete this site in its entirety. How can I cancel the premium plan and delete the site in its entirety, while site ownership remains under a different user

    WordPress.com doesn’t delete sites on demand. You have to proof ownership one way or another. I see your site is set to private, so no one else can see it.

    Hi there,

    Only the owner of an upgrade can cancel it or transfer it to another user on the site, and only the owner of a site can transfer ownership of the site itself to another user.

    While any admin can delete a site, that is not possible while the site has an active upgrade, so if you’re not able to contact the upgrade owner to have them cancel it, you’ll have to wait until the upgrade expires and is removed automatically.

    As you’re an admin you should be able to take the site offline by setting it to private at My Site ->Manage ->Settings, but beyond that we’re not able to help you with this.
