delete 'hello world' post

    I just set up a new blog and published one post. But I can’t delete the ‘hello world’ post that came with the blog page from wordpress. I used the dashboard and deleted it, but it still appears. I even deleted my own first post, and it still appears too.
    How can I delete the ‘hello world’ post?
