Delete obsolete site
-
Hello WordPress.com Support,
I am writing to request assistance with recovering access to a WordPress.com site that I own but can no longer access due to lost login credentials (username and password). Since I cannot log in, I am unable to delete the site myself through the dashboard.
Site Details:
- Site URL: https://atelierdaran.wordpress.com
- Approximate Creation Date: Sometime between 2010 and 2015
- Associated Email Address(es): (email visible only to moderators and staff)
Proof of Ownership: To verify that I am the rightful owner of this account, I can provide the following information:
- I can describe specific content, plugins, or settings unique to the site that only the administrator would know, such as content, official registration details of the French non-profit that created the site.
- I currently have access to the email inbox associated with the account: [Email Address].
Request: My primary goal is to permanently delete this site. However, I understand that for security reasons, I must first regain access to the account.
Could you please guide me through the specific verification steps required to:
- Reset my login credentials so I can access the dashboard and delete the site myself?
- Or, if direct access cannot be restored, initiate a manual deletion of the site upon successful verification of my ownership?
I am happy to try to provide any additional documentation or answer further questions to expedite this process. Thank you for your time and assistance in resolving this matter.
Sincerely,
Simon Coss email : (email visible only to moderators and staff)

Simply log out from current atelierdaran2e92a17825 you created only an hour ago and log in again with the username atelierdaran … et voila, problem solved

Thanks for the suggestion. It doesn’t work though.
I only created this new profile so that I could ask this specific question. The original profile was set up using the same name but completely different username / email address and password.
I have neither of these and no means of getting them. Hence my problem.
All the best.
