Delete pdf file link permanently

I have permanently deleted a post containing a pdf file I want to delete, however I can’t find where the pdf file is in media or anywhere else to delete. The link has our website stem so I know it is somewhere in the back end but I can’t find it. The deleted post isn’t solving the problem because the link still works. I’ve tried using the URL to search the back end and nothing comes up. Any help is appreciated.

Have you checked your Media Library under the heading “Documents”. Note that once a pdf is deleted from a post/page as well as your Media Library it can continue to be cached by search engines for some time.

Thank you for responding. I don’t see an option for just documents, but I did check all media items. Most of our site is PDF docs and I know when it was uploaded, but it isn’t showing up. I’ve even now tried to redirect the URL to another page and it says successful, but the link still goes to the pdf I’m trying to delete from existence.

Can you please give the link to the file via which you’re still able to access it? Then I can make sure the file is completely purged from our servers.
