Delete personal info from forums

Hello, I didn’t realize that forum questions cannot be deleted. I included a link to a blog that is meant to be ‘unlisted’ and semi-private, but I now see that the question cannot be deleted or edited whatsoever. How can I have that personal info removed? Thank you

Yes, I’ve set it like that for now as a precaution. However it is normally set to unlisted so that only those with the link can access it. Because of that public facing nature, I’d like the URL to the blog, in that forum post, removed. It seems like I, the author of the forum post, can’t do that. I need moderator help somehow. Help!

The only way to prevent unwanted people from visiting your site, is by setting it to private. You can’t hide an URL by trying to keep it silent; in time it will get spread one way or another.

I’ve seen other examples here on the forum (such as this) where it seems personal info was scrubbed. It’s a bit silly that the forum doesn’t allow the author to do that themselves. It’s never had a public facing listing of its URL until now. If you’re able to, I’d appreciate some help on this.

We keep forum threads around as they’re a valuable searchable support resource for our users, so we only delete forum content if there’s valid security or personal safety concern.
Since your site URL has no relevance to your support question, I removed it from your other thread and this one.
Next time, skip selecting a site when you reach out for help.
