I am the new website admin for my sons high school mt biking team. I used godaddy to point the domain to our new site. How do I delete the old site http://www.cshsmtb.wordpress.com?

cshsmtb.wordpress.com is owned by another WordPress.com account. Sites can only be deleted by the owner so you will need to login as cshsmtb in order to do so:

Thank you for your response. The biggest issue is that the website was set up originally be a student athlete at the high school who has long since graduated. We have no way to contact him. Is there any way to delete the site without the administrator/author?

There isn’t, and we aren’t able to give out the email address of the author either. Have you thought about leaving a comment on the site asking them to get in touch?

I also want to note: deleting the site would make the old address completely unavailable for re-use. If you want to use that address, the site owner would need to log in and transfer ownership to you.
If you aren’t able to reach the owner, creating a new site under a different address may be your best bet.

Great, I can see the old site still exists, but if you can log in as the other user, you can redirect from there to that new site, too.
