DELETE SITE FOREVER

  • Unknown's avatar

Hello, I recently unlinked the following URLs – https://doc-insight.co.za & https://doc-insight.com – from a wordpress site. They now point to my new website on a different website builder. I would now like to DELETE the wordpress site they were previously linked to forever, but I am having difficulty doing so. The navigation bar does not give an option to delete the site. I have followed the support articles on WordPress.com for how to delete my site, but the option to delete the site is not even there!? Please help me.

    Site: https://doc-insight.co.za.
    WP.com: Unknown
    Jetpack: Unknown
    Correct account: Unknown

    Hi there!

I’ve checked our logs and it doesn’t look like you had the domain hosted by us at WordPress.com before. This means if you have a WordPress site at that domain, that is using the WordPress.org software and is hosted elsewhere.

There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it well: WordPress.com vs WordPress.org.

I’m also not seeing any WordPress.com sites connected to your WordPress.com account. So we don’t actually see the WordPress site you’re referring to that you want to delete. Please reach out to the hosting service provider where your WordPress site is hosted so that they can delete the site for you.

    Hope that makes sense!

    Regards
