Delete WordPress.com blog without credentials

  Here’s a tricky one.

  I’m part of an association and we have discovered that there is an old WordPress blog still online under our name (https://officinecreativetorino.wordpress.com). There have been people coming and going the last few years and so we do not know who set it up or any other registration details. Our current website still uses WordPress (officinecreativetorino.it) but obviously it would be good to close down the old page to avoid creating confusion. To add to the complication it is not possible to write WordPress about recovering the account as a valid reference number is needed, which we cannot get hold of. So, does anybody know if there is a way to request the blog being taken offline as it uses our name (registered as an association) without having any current affiliation to us? Or any other solution that might work?
