Deleted Blog Post – can I recover?
-
Hello,
Yesterday, I went to edit the title of a blog post (typo!) and in doing so, my change deleted the entire post. I don’t have a copy of it and can’t seem to find it anywhere. Is there any way to recover this post? Would appreciate your help very much (we wrote it while in London and I don’t remember what it said…)
Thank you!

Sorry, I didn’t explain this properly. The entire post was not deleted; the body of it was. The post still exists but only the title “We are going to EUROPE!” shows (from October 2016). Is there anyway I can see a history of my posts to recover the original posting in October? I will be crushed if I can’t get it back. :(

Open up the post in the “My Site” post editor. If you click where it says “Published” on the left then below you should see if any earlier versions/revisions were saved.

You definitely clicked on the site title to “open” the post and then clicked on “Published” on the far left? If there are no revisions and there’s nothing in drafts or the trash can either then its gone.
But just in case you’re missing a stage using the My Sites/Calypso dashboard you can double-check in the old/wp-admin dashboard. If you open the post there and scroll down you’ll see if there are revisions in the cache.
