Deleted content still viewed

  HI,

  I have deleted a particular post from my blog. The post though doesn’t reflect on the blog site but when I search through google, it takes me exactly to the original post on my blog. How do I remove the same?

  Hi there, You may be seeing a cached version of your post when you follow the link from Google. You can try following that link in a private or incognito web browser window instead and you should get a 404-Not Found error.

  As far as Google’s cache of your post, WordPressdotcom has no control over content cached by Google. That’s something you’ll need to approach Google about. The post will likely be removed after your site has been crawled and indexed again, but if you need it removed earlier, use the remove outdated content form https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/6349986?hl=en
