Deleted my account, but its still on google

    I am applying for a job that will definitely be googling my name before even considering me. When I googled my full name, my old wordpress website popped up from like seven years ago. I had a link to my resume on there and this has my address, phone number, and embarrassing high school jobs ha. When I deleted the wordpress website, I thought it would delete this resume, but it did not. You cannot get on to my old wordpress site but you can still get ahold of that resume with all my personal information. I know I can’t erase anything once it has been posted on the internet, but this is the first link on google. Yikes help!

    Hi there,

    You’ll have to contact Google directly for help with this. Deleting a site from our servers does not remove it from search engine indexes, nor does it delete cached copies on the search engine’s own servers. Only the search engine themselves can remove it from there.
