Deleting a file and uploading with the same file name

  When we deleted a pdf file and uploaded a revised file with the same name, the file is uploaded but it automatically gets renamed with a serial number. Since link with the original file name is already circulated, when the visitors click on them, it is returning a message, ‘404 – file not found’. It is 24 hours since the old file has been deleted and new file uploaded. How to fix this issue and if it due to caching, how to get it right. Thanks

  We’re aware of the issue and at this time do not have a way to correct it. Duplicate file names, even if the original file was deleted, will have a number added to the file name.
