Deleting a website

    All, I am trying to permanently delete my website but despite having cancelled any purchase and upgrades, cancelled the domain and removed every single plug in, the button to permanently delete the site remains inactive and a message appears to contact support . needless to say support has been useless as they keep coming back with the go into setting and click on the delete website button (which doesn’t work). Any idea on what else could prevent the site from being deleted ?

    Hi there!

    This is because the site you canceled is still not fully reverted from the plugin-enabled servers. I can do that for you, and you’ll be able to close your WordPress.com account after that.

    May I ask what led you to cancel your WordPress.com subscriptions? I see you had a domain registered with us. Did you know that you risk losing a domain permanently by canceling it? If you plan to use it in the future, we strongly recommend keeping the domain so that you don’t lose it forever.

    Please let us know if there’s anything we can do for you. If you’re sure you want to continue with the deletion, confirm by replying here, and we’ll fully revert the site so that you can close your WordPress.com account.
