Deleting ads for my web site when viewed by a smart phone (iPhone)?

Given I joined wordpress.com for an annual fee to ensure the elimination of ads at my web site, it’s CURIOUS as to why the ads are NOW gone from my web site when viewing it on a laptop/desktop computer…..BUT when viewing my same web site via a smart phone (e.g., iPhone), I see an ad at the beginning of my same web site address URL #. Solution?
    Thank you.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Given I joined wordpress.com for an annual fee

There is no fee to have a WordPress.com account. Creating a WordPress.com account has always been free.

You can buy upgrades for individual sites in your account, but you don’t own any upgrades with us.

You are an admin on the site, warblerwatch.com, but that site only has a stand-alone domain mapping upgrade which is owned by a different account. Removing ads from a site requires an upgrade to one of our paid plans, so that site is supposed to be displaying ads.

As for ads appearing only on mobile but not on desktop, admins on sites don’t always see ads when logged in. If you view the site on mobile without logging into WordPress.com first, that would explain why you see ads there while not on desktop where you’re logged in.

Or another possibility is if you’re using ad-blockers in your browser on desktop, but not on mobile.
