Deleting all content from site

    Hi,
    I can’t believe I have to go through a your team to delete the content from my own site but I guess that’s how you guys do things. Your platform is so incredibly hard to use I cannot figure out to delete specific content from this site, which I no longer use and no longer want associated with my name. I need to make sure that when people search for my name, this site, does not pop up in any capacity. Even though I made the site ‘private’, supposedly, some content keeps arising when my name is searched on Google. I would like to keep this site name (seviagonzales.wordpress.com) should I ever need it, but need all the content from this site removed. Please. I recently created a new site using the same account (seviagonz.wordpress.com) which needs to stay active, so please do not remove the content from that one. Thanks.

    You all should really think about making WordPress more user friends, this interface is ridiculously convoluted.

    Hi there,

    I can’t believe I have to go through a your team to delete the content from my own site but I guess that’s how you guys do things.

    To delete content from your site, go to My Site ->Site ->Posts/Pages, look for the post or page you want to delete or modify, and either delete or edit the post to make the changes you want.

    To delete the entire site, go to My Site ->Manage ->Settings, and click the Delete Site option at the very bottom.

    For neither of these things do you need to go through support.

    If you want to empty the site without deleting it completely, i.e. so the address remains available, we can do that for you, but the process is irreversible should you change your mind later. Please confirm that you understand that, and confirm the address of the site you want emptied, and we can take care of that for you. This can only be done by staff because once we click the button to start the process there is no going back – not even by restoring a site backup.

    Neither deleting the site, nor removing the content from the site, will stop the content appearing in Google Searches. The content will only disappear from Google results once Google removes that content from their index and cached web pages. That information can remain indexed and cached with Google, and any other search engine, for months of even years after the actual site is deleted with us.

    We don’t have any control over that. The only way to get the information removed from Google, is to contact Google directly. The same goes for all other search engines:
