Deleting an inactive account
-
Every time I try to access a new account I created, it automatically shunts me back to an inactive account I started in 2016. How can I delete that account from your system and my OS X Mac and start over.

The user name you see (unfrozenincapitolhill) is the one I’m sent to, which uses my email address (email visible only to moderators and staff) . I haven’t created a site on this account, but the system won’t let me delete it and start over. Every time I try to log in using a different email account ( (email visible only to moderators and staff) ) , which I began using at a WordPress workshop at the library her, I get an error message “the password that you entered is incorrect.” When I do it on this OS X Mac it renters the “unfrozen..” user name. When I tried on a different laptop it gives me the same error message, which is nuts as I just changed it and know the pw is right. I can’t change the existing name, and can’t open a new account.

Hi there,
Please follow these steps:
1. Log out of this account.
2. Clear your browser cache and cookies. This is necessary to ensure you’re completely logged out of this account.
3. Go to the lost password form and type in your Gmail address:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
4. Open your Gmail and click the password reset link to set a new password and log into that account.
Let me know if you still have any trouble logging in.
