deleting blog

  I am concerned about potential employers finding me through a search of my email address and landing on my blog. There is nothing on there that is incriminating; I just don’t want to be judged before even getting an interview. I keep wanting to delete but am afraid. I’d love it if only I could see my blog and that it wouldn’t even come up in Google searches, even if the content is hidden from non-Wordpress users. Is there a way to do this? I also just exported my blog and am wondering if the zip file will become inactive in 7 days like the download link does.

  Hi there,

  There’s definitely a way to hide your site without deleting it! All you need to do is set your blog to private so that people and search engines won’t be able to find the site.

  To set your blog to private, go to Settings > Reading on your dashboard, and click the radio button next to I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose.
