deleting domain attached to blog I deleted

  Hi

  Please can someone tell me how to delete a domain name that I bought via wordpress, I have deleted the blog site and thought that this would also delete at the same time.

  If you were domain mapping then Staff have to remove the domain mapping so I tagged this thread for their attention. Post the domain URL and the underlying .wordpress.com blog URL for them please.

  Hi there,

  I don’t see any domain purchases on your account. However, I do see that you recently deleted your WordPress.com blog. When a blog is deleted, the blog’s free WordPress.com address is also deleted and can’t ever be used again (by you or anyone else). We have more about that here: Delete Site

  You have to be logged in as the admin of the blog in order to delete it. I can confirm that sydneynnn.com is still active. Does it appear under the list of blogs on the grey admin bar when you hover over your username?

  Hi sydneynnn,

  The domain Sydneynnn.com is not linked to the blog Sydneynnn.wordpress.com you deleted. Sydneynnn.com is owned by a different WordPress.com user, and only that user can manage this domain.

  If you purchased the domain Sydneynnn.com, first you’ll need to log in to the WordPress.com account you used to set it up originally. If you have any trouble with the domain at that point, you’re welcome to post a reply in this thread using that account or contact us for further help with the domain.

  I am looking through my other accounts, just to confirm, is it 100% that this is not linked or could the link between the two have been broken when I deleted the WordPress.com version? Thank you

  Hi Rachel, I am concerned how I am to locate this, if there is a user name then I can locate the account however I do not understand why this isn’t linked from this account, how can I see the user? I purchased the domain upgrade. Thanks again

  The domain Sydneynnn.com is definitely linked to a different blog and WordPress.com user account. It was not affected when you deleted the blog at Sydneynnn.wordpress.com.
