Deleting media that isn’t referenced on a page/blog post
-
Hello,
We’re currently trying to clean up some media that we have that we’re no longer using. After looking at it online, I don’t want to delete ‘unattached’ media, as there’s a possibility that an unattached media file can still be tied to an active webpage/blog.Is there a way for me to see a list of all media that isn’t currently being used on our website? Any help would be appreciated, as we can’t find any clear answers online. Thanks!

Hi there,
We can’t help directly because we don’t host teamqualityservices.com on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result, we can’t take a closer look at your site.
Instead your host uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform — sometimes called “WordPress.org” — which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com.
The good news is that help is available here at the open-source WordPress forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
The folks in that forum are more familiar with these kinds of issues and are in the best position to help. Thanks!
