Deleting my account

  Hello There,
  I once looked after alongside Africa website but not anymore. The Jatpack account is linked to my personal email address, given that I don’t manage Alongside Africa account anymore, what would the impact be on the website contents and availability if I delete my account?
  The domain name is alongsideafrica.org This account is not longer required.

  Hi Joanne,

  If you’re the only admin on the site with a Jetpack connection to your WordPress.com account, deleting your account will disconnect the site from Jetpack, and cause many Jetpack features to stop working.

  So just have another admin on the site create a Jetpack connection to their WordPress.com account as well – they can do this from WP-Admin ->Jetpack, same as you did when you intially set up the connection.

  Then you can disconnect from your WordPress.com account and safely close your account with us if you’re no longer going to use it.

  If you just no longer want your account linked to the site, you can simply disconnect it. You’ll find that option at My Site ->Settings ->Manage Your Connection (right at the bottom of the Settings page)
