Deleting my wordpress.com account

While researching how to start a blog, I made a poor choice without gathering enough information and prematurely opened an account on wordpress.com. Since then I have gone through GoDaddy.com and registered a domain name (not what is on the .com account), signed up on Bluehost and then got a self-hosting account on wordpress.org. If I delete my .com account, which uses my same email account, will it effect my self-hosting .org account?? I have not published my website or first blog yet.

You WordPress.com username account has no connection at all to your accounts at GoDaddy, Bluehost or WordPress.org, nor to the admin account for your stand-alone WordPress site, and closing your WordPress.com account won’t have an effect on any of the other accounts or any site not hosted on our servers.
