  Hello, I am trying to delete the site I have. I have the site purchased through Godaddy. But linked to my wordpress account. If I delete the site on wordpress. Does that delete the domain name/ purchase through godaddy?

  No, deleting a site on WordPress.com will not affect a domain name registration made through GoDaddy.
