deleting the default header in kelly theme

I’m using the “Kelly” theme and I want to use my own header. I liked the turquoise you guys had, so I made my header the same color in Photoshop. When I uploaded it, it’s not full opacity (thinking it’s because the original default header is still there and it’s “covering it”). How do I get full opacity on my own header?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

The Kelly theme automatically adds a colored overlay on top of your header image, to match your site’s color scheme. That feature is built in to the theme’s design.

If you’d like, you can customize your theme’s design with our Custom Design features (part of the WordPress.com Premium Plan). That way you could customize the header so it displays your header image in its original color, without the colored overlay.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
