Deleting the Download Button from my PDF file

  Hello. I am uploading a pdf to my author’s website, but I don’t want others to be able to download the pdf. When I go to embed it, it comes up with a download button that I can’t seem to delete. How do I delete the download button so others cannot download it without having to basically cut and copy my excerpt onto my webpage?

  You can toggle the download button, https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/file-block/#download-button-settings.
  However this won’t prevent people downloading that pdf. In fact there is no full proof protection to prevent people from downloading your content.
