deleting website

  I want to delete my current website and then start it again using wordpress. I already own a domain name so if I delete it would I be able to then use the same name considering I own it?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi –

  Be careful that you do not cancel or delete your domain. That needs to remain active in order to get it moved over to WordPress.com.

  For now, just leave the old site alone. Once you have the new one up and ready, go ahead and connect the domain. There’s 2 ways to achieve that:

  1. mapping: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
  2. transfer: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
