  Hey there,

  where can I place a desription for by website?

  At the moment it looks looks this:

  Hier sollte eine Beschreibung angezeigt werden, diese Seite lässt dies jedoch nicht zu.
  (There should be a description, but this side doesn´t allows it.

  Ok I tried this yesterday, and it works. But we would like to add a text.

  In addition to our blog name. Like a short description just one or two lines.
  Like a short preview

  Well, many search engines will pull in your site title and tagline:

  https://wordpress.com/settings/general/

  And then they pull the content from the front page.

  For example, if you search Google for my site:

  https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#safe=active&q=shawnajroberts

  You can see my title and tagline in the header of the first result, then the blurb beneath it is the content of my front page:

  http://shawnajroberts.com/

  Google and other search engines can take a little time to update, so if you keep setting your site to private, the search results will never update. You can prompt search engines to recrawl your site by setting up webmaster tools:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/

  Great! The description should update in a few weeks, unless you set up Google Webmaster Tools, in which case it should happen quicker. :)
