Designing my website

    Hello.

    After years of having a website of my own, I deleted it a while back.

    Today I decided to try putting together a new website.

    I started following the instructions on WORDPRESS. But, I quickly ran into a brick wall.
    I am old and not very quick these days.

    I need help.

    I want a simple website. I have one photo of me (I already uploaded it, but it shows up in a giant version on my home page).

    I want a smaller version of the photo.

    I also posted four songs: but don’t know where they are located on the WordPress site of mine.

    I would like to just have the songs under the photo on the home page.

    I don’t need or want anything more fancy than that.

    I will want to add songs: but will have to learn how to add them to my home page, and not to a posting.

    Hi!

    To start with, what sort of website are you after? Should it be just a single page with the photo, some introductory texts, and your songs listed?

    This guide mentions how to create a page, and set it as the front/home page of your site (so it’s the first thing people see):

    In order to show your photo, you can add it using an Image block. This also lets you resize the image so it’s a little smaller:

    If your four songs are added to your Media library, then you can insert them on your page.

    When you are editing your page, you can add several Audio blocks to showcase your songs; they each have a Play button so visitors can listen to the songs. Here’s the guide for the Audio block:
