Destination folder already exists/Plugin installation failed

    Hi,
I’m trying to install the Jetpack plugin, but every time i try I receive this message:
    ‘Installing Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com
    Downloading installation package from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/jetpack.6.2.1.zip…

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Destination folder already exists. /var/www/cristinacristofoli.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/

    Plugin installation failed.

    Return to Required Plugins Installer’.

I don’t understand what the problem is. I also have the same issue with another plugin (WPBakery Page Builder). I tried deactivating all other plugins, but that didn’t help..
It is two recommended plugins for the theme I bought.
I am a totalt newbie with CSS, so I am very confused.

    Thanks for your help,
    Cristina
