This is a site hosted on wordpress
The developer was uploading a template and we disagreed and he suddenly changed the access email and we received a notification via email as its our wordpress account… but now we cannot login

Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Name Cheap.
