device out of memory

  I am trying to upload a post from galaxy tablet and get the message device out of memory. My device has plenty of memory. Any help about what might be the problem and how I could solve it so as to publish my blog plost would be much appreciated.

  Sorry you’re having trouble! Just to confirm, you’re using the WordPress app for Android, right? Can you let me know what version of the app you’re running, as well as the version of Android you have on your tablet? That will help us troubleshoot this for you.

  Also, is this only happening for this particular post, or does it happen if you try to publish any another post from your tablet, too?

  Hi Rachel – Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I am traveling and in and out of internet coverage. The wordpress ap for Android is WordPress 2.6. My Android is a Tab. I am running whatever is the most recent operating system on it. Thanks for your help!

  Ah, also it seems to be happening with all posts with pictures in them. I am wondering what happens if I clear the cache on my WordPress ap for Android. I’m just too afraid to try right now given I have an unpublished draft on my Android. Any insights would be much appreciated.

  Hi Ben,

  Thanks for those additional details. It sounds like you’re hitting some kind of upload limit on your Galaxy Tab with your photos. You can try resizing the photos to a smaller size before publishing the posts — here’s how:

  When in the dashboard view of your blog, select ‘Settings’, then change the ‘Default image width’ setting to your desired width. You can also tap on an image in the post editor to set a custom size there as well.
