Difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org?

  Hello WordPress,

  Am I to understand that the main difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org is that W.com is a company that provides plans to host ‘the complete package’ and helps people who know relatively nothing to achieve what they want to do vs. W.org being simply a host for the WordPress CSS script for people that are advanced coders/want more control over the way their site is developed?

  Any explanation you could provide between the two would be helpful.
