Difficulty in Applying WordPress Functionality to My Website

I need some help. I have been struggling for a couple months to use WordPress to create the kind of website that I want. It is a purely informative website about a new project I am working on called AI-Driven Strategic Planning. It is not a blog. I have managed to get a front page and a couple secondary pages up and running. Here it is: https://ai-driven-strategy.com/

The website will consist of a description of the project, regular progress updates, and the ability to accept comments from viewers. As the descriptive content grows, I would like to create a menu to facilitate navigation around the site. I also hope to use the website as the basis for one or more email accounts.

I managed to create a section in the right-hand column called “Progress Updates”. I do not know how to actually enter update text in that section. I do not know how to enable comments from viewers. I do not know how to create a menu that ties the pages together. I do not know how to set up an email account based on the website.

For some reason, I am having a lot of trouble working with WordPress. I would appreciate your help. Thank you.

  • Hi there,

Looks like you’re in the wrong forum. Your site is using the self-hosted version of WordPress and you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org you can read this document:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

Thanks for responding and thanks for explaining the difference. Sorry about my confusion. I’ll try the “org” forums.
